Acting Famous

We just got back from Nashville, TN. Let me just say that I was supposed to be famous. We felt so at home, hanging out backstage! We ended up leaving Friday night around 10pm and driving halfway to a little past Atlanta. The weather was just AWFUL and wanted to try and get as close as we could before it got worse. We got to Franklin, TN around lunch time on Saturday. It was not enough time to play around that town! It is on the outskirts of Nashville, and is so nice! Nice houses, nice shops, nice mall, and the greenest grass I have ever seen. The Mall at Green Hills was a higher end mall than Southpark. The people were all so cute and classy! I never wanted to leave.
That afternoon we headed to Nashville for the Grand Ole Opry. After almost dieing a few times from people being stupid on the interstate and just trying to rush we finally made it to the backstage door. I felt so important walking up to security, telling them my name and them giving me clearance to walk in! Here we are walking around backstage the Grand Ole Opry!!! We walk past all these rooms with numbers on them, inside were chairs, lighted mirrors and tvs. These is where country music really started and continues to stay alive. Who knows who all have been in those rooms!!! I kept eyeing people trying to see if they were famous or not as they walked by, haha. We ended up meeting Loretta Lynn, Joe Diffie, Point of Grace (random...one even said she liked my dress as we walked into the restroom at the same time), and last but not least Jaron Lowenstein. Everyone needs to go out and buy Jaron's CD when it comes out next month, trust me it is going to be amazing!
We are ready to head back so we can spend more time!

Princess Heather and her new Ipad

Okay.  So When I first saw the iPad I didn't really understand it or think I would want one.  After thinking long and hard about why I really use a computer on a daily basis I decided that I needed on as soon as they came out! And when I say as soon as, I mean the morning of their release.
Well, it was preordered and was to be on my doorstep the morning of the release date...which was this past Saturday and I was leaving to drive down to Florida that afternoon perfect timing right...that is what I thought.
As anything else in my life right now it got complicated.  We called apple on Friday afternoon because online ups said it wasn't going to arrive till the following week. I was so mad, why would I pre order something that I wanted if I wasn't going to get it on the day it was supposed to be released. Apple said there was nothing they could do, ups said there was nothing else they could do...but I needed it.
Clay and I decide that if we were going to have it the day they came out we had to figure out another way.  Best buy had a line to purchase them at ten the next morning..so what do we do it is 9pm and we park the car and wait.  YES we are crazy. But I now know for sure I never want to be homeless.  I was cold, hungry, and so tired but couldn't sleep.  The man sitting beside me was a pro.  He was sitting there to get three of them, one for his wife and two others for his daughters.  He was a pro because he said he has spent the night for numerous things in the past including the original ninendo and even cabbage patch kids.  Yep, he had been doing this for a while.  The couple behind him brought their two dogs which kept me entertained, and they brought me a water, how nice.  I sit there till three am, which then it was Clay's turn. We switched and he then woke me up at 5:45am.  It was time for a breakfast run. While he went to chick fila to get us and our knew found best buy homeless friends breakfast he had an amazing discovery...
He called me and said you are going to die.  He just on luck decided to check ups, when he called on their answering machine was a message for all iPad customers.  "if you reordered an iPad we will do everything in our power to have it delivered to you today"
What are you kidding me? I just slept at best buy for nothing.  He spoke to someone just to make sure, and sure enough mine was on the first truck out. So we gave our new friends breakfast and wished them good luck and left at six am.  I slept till 10:10 and there was a knock at my door. Ten mins after best buy would have opened I had it at my front door!  So I should have just waited instead of being a princess and demanding I have it the day it comes out.  But it all worked out with a good story to go along.
I have to say, even though there are some bad reports...this thing is AMAZING!  I love everything about. It is so small and easy to tote around, the Internet is quick and iBooks is so cool.  I am even updating my blog on it :)
